Anirban Wins the "Young Musician Award of the Year"
Friday, May 9, 2014 at Oxford Bookstore, Kolkata India

Anirban was awarded the “Promising Young Musician of the Year” in May 2014 from Bihaan Music Industries, Kolkata, India. The Award was dedicated in the name of famous Ustad Karamatullah Khan Sahab – a doyen of the Farrukabad ‘Gharana’ style of Tabla.

 

Among Anirban's other honors was a prestigious performance at the famous Carnegie Hall on April 13, 2015 in a precious collaboration of the “Jaunpuri Raga” (an Indian Classical composition) with renowned western classical  pianist Kimball Gallagher, and Indian classical vocalist, Ustad Mashkoor Ali  Khan.
